GEORGETOWN — Blanchester freshman Dustin Howard allowed a first inning single and nothing else as the Wildcats defeated Georgetown 12-0 Wednesday in Southern Buckeye Athletic & Academic Conference baseball action.

“Dustin really stepped up for us on the mound,” BHS coach Aaron Lawson said. “We only had one guy available outside of him. He seemed to settle in quick. He did exactly what we’ve been looking for in getting ahead of the hitters. Good things happen when you get strike one.”

Blanchester is 4-3 overall and 4-1 in the National Division.

Max Davidson had three hits while Howard collected two hits. Both Alec Richardson and Jared Monhollen drove in two runs each.

Howard struck out six and walked two.
