Five net three as WHS lacrosse cruises 18-4

XENIA — Three players scored five goals each as the Wilmington High School club lacrosse team defeated Xenia 18-4 Monday night.

Seniors Josiah Keiter, Hunter Frazier and Zane Stevens had five goals each as the Hurricane evened its record at 2-2 on the year.

“I was very proud how well we hustled to the ball all game. Our defense appreciated the ball control we had offense,” WHS head coach Adam Shultz said.

The Hurricane will host Clinton-Massie 6:30 p.m. Wednesday at Alumni Field.

Junior TraLee Joiner had two goals and classmate Presten Kessler had a goal for WHS.

Kessler had three assists in the match while Keiter, Destry Powell and Nick Whiting had one assist each.

Shultz praised his squad’s defensive effort in holding the Buccaneers to just nine shots.
