LEES CREEK — Brad Keller pitched a one-hitter Tuesday as Wilmington defeated East Clinton 11-1 in South Central Ohio League baseball action at ECHS.

The Hurricane is now 10-1 in the league and 11-7 overall. Wilmington has won seven straight league games since its lone loss to Clinton-Massie.

WHS pitching has allowed just one hit in the last two games.

Keller (3-1 on the year) took a no-hitter into the sixth inning. He finished with seven strikeouts. The one run he allowed was unearned, WHS coach Rick Kneisel said.

“He had great control tonight,” Kneisel said. “We talk to our pitchers about having a 2-to-1 strike to ball ratio and he really bettered that.”

Keller threw 79 pitches, 56 of them for strikes.

At the plate, Keller had three hits and scored two runs.

Stephen Krause had three hits, including a double, scored two runs and drove in three runs. Chris Wolary homered for the second straight game and drove in two runs.
