GOSHEN — Aaron Anderson led a strong bullpen effort Thursday as Blanchester rallied for a 6-4 baseball victory over Goshen in a non-league game at GHS.

The Wildcats are 13-5 on the year.

“Our bullpen did a phenomenal job of coming in and shutting down there line up.” BHS coach Aaron Lawson said. “Aaron Anderson carried the majority of those innings. He kept the ball down and was throwing his change up in any count.”

Anderson went 4 1/3 innings and struck out three. Max Davidson recorded the final out in the seventh and notched a save.

Alec Richardson collected three hits and stole a couple of bases for the Wildcats. Travis Nelson had two hits, scored twice and stole three bases. Robert Rausch drove in two runs and had two hits.

“We played a pretty clean game defensively,” Lawson said. “We had one error later in the game that caused a jam and we were able to get out of it. That’s not something we have done very much this year. Our errors tend to be costly.”
