Little Miami hands Blanchester 9-4 loss

BLANCHESTER — Little Miami rallied with a pair of four-run innings Thursday and defeated Blanchester 9-4 in a non-league softball game at BHS.

The loss drops the Ladycats to 10-13 on the year.

“After (Wednesday) night’s game, I was curious to see how would respond tonight and I was not disappointed,” BHS coach Jamey Grogg said. “This was another game that we did so many positive things that helped us prepare for next week’s tournament. It also gave us a chance to see areas of the game that we still need to work on, so I got exactly what I wanted out of (this) game.

“The one thing that I was probably most pleased with was that fact that we scored three of our four runs with two outs and I was happy with the low strikeout total. We have talked all season about being a tough out and doing everything possible to have good contact with two strikes and I thought we did that extremely well.”

Elecia Patton drove in two runs for Blanchester.
