CHILLICOTHE — The Wilmington High School softball team dropped a 3-2 South Central Ohio League contest Thursday at Chillicothe.

The Lady Hurricane trailed 2-0 and 3-1 in the closely-contested game.

Cherokee McClaskie had two hits and drove in a run for the Lady Hurricane. Courtney Smart and Hunter Toller had two hits each. Hannah Chase knocked in a run.

Smart pitched well for WHS was took the loss on the mound.
