CINCINNATI — The Blanchester softball team was defeated by Wyoming 2-1 Wednesday in a Div. II Cincinnati Sectional game at WHS.

Blanchester (10-14 to finish the season) out-hit Wyoming 8 to 3 but BHS coach Jamey Grogg said only one of the Ladycats hits came with a runner in scoring position.

‘We had the bases loaded with one out in the bottom of the seventh but just couldn’t get the tying run home,” Grogg said.

The game was the finale for BHS seniors Rachael Doyle and Hope Florea. “They are great teammates and outstanding young ladies who will be missed next year,” said Grogg.
