KEY PLAYERS LOST

2nd singles player Mimi Bekheet, lost to graduation.

RIGHT NOW I LIKE …

Having an experienced team that understands how competitive the SCOL is in girls tennis. Our singles line-up should be solid. I’m glad to have lots of experienced doubles players back. We also have some very promising freshmen who already show potential to be good high school tennis players.

RIGHT NOW WE NEED TO IMPROVE …

Consistency and mental focus. We need to develop some chemistry on the doubles court. I’d like to see some more energy there.

LEAGUE FAVORITE

Wilmington and Chillicothe are only losing one player from last year and we split with them last year. We also split with WCH, who is always competitive in girls tennis. They lost four seniors, but will have a state qualifier back.

ANYTHING ELSE YOU’D LIKE TO SAY ABOUT TEAM …

We are looking forward to hosting the first Hurricane Invitational Saturday, Aug. 29. Kings, Lebanon, Little Miami, Waynesville, Western Brown, Ross and Xenia have committed to play. It should be a very competitive day of tennis.
