WHS boys 2nd, Blan boys 3rd at Monroe Invitational

MONROE — Wilmington finished as runnersup in the boys race, one place ahead of Blanchester Monday at the Alex Fultz Monroe Invitational.

For the Hurricane, Simon Heys was the pacesetter, finishing 5th in 19:51.5.

Bayden Stephens ran 18th in 20:43.2. He was followed closely by Ricky Dungan 20th in 21:02.6, Drew Spendlove 21st in 21:07.5, Sam Eastes 25th in 21:35.3 and Ian Holmes 29th in 21:52.5.

Also for Wilmington, Calvin Walls was 34th in 22:15.3, Cameron Combs 36th in 22:28.2, Zach Bradshaw 39th in 22:50.3 and Tyler Parks 41st in 22:53.4.

Aiden Hester was 55th for WHS in 24:22.3 while Jackson Tofte was 69th in 25:53.9, Garrett Regan 77th in 27:35, Troy Oates 78th in 27:36.5 and Izaia Billingsley 87th in 29:48.4.

In the boys race, Hunter Browning led Blanchester by finishing 11th in 20:17.9.

Tyler Holland was 13th in 20:27.5, Sean Holland 14th in 20:34.1 and Ricky Davis 17th in 20:41.4.

Also for the Wildcats, Ashton Steward was 58th in 24.51.5, Samuel Reinhart was 61st in 25:34.6, Mathew O’Neil was 80th in 28:50.4 and Bill Rannells was 100th in 36.29:4.
