A pair of Clinton County tennis players were honored by the Greater Cincinnati Tennis Coaches Association.

Wilmington’s Brooklyn Nielsen and Blanchester’s Brooke Honaker received Distinguished Player Award honors.

Nielsen won her third singles bracket in the Flight D tournament.

“Brooklyn was recognized for accomplishments this season,” WHS coach Doug Cooper.

Nielsen is 20-2 on the year, 17 of those at third singles. The 17 wins are the most by a WHS third singles player, since Allison Brooks won 19 matches in 2012 as a freshman at third singles.

Honaker was third in the first singles bracket in the Flight F tournament. The BHS senior is 17-4 on the season.
