CINCINNATI — Clinton-Massie finished ninth Friday in the Div. II Southwest District boys golf tournament at Glenview Golf Course.
The top three teams advanced to the state tournament. Clinton-Massie finished with a 349. The third-place team score was 319.
None of the Falcons made it as individuals to the state.
“We had a couple bad holes hurt us on the back,” CM coach Brian Mudd said.
Individually, Keith Mineer had an 85 (45-40) while Max Carnevale (48-39) and Drew Kienle (40-47) both shot 87. Caleb Enright had a 90 (46-44) and Thomas Carter cared a 94 (48-46).
Carter, Enright and Kienle are seniors.
McNicholas was the team champion with a 309. Wyoming 313 was second and Oakwood 319 was third.
The top individuals not on a state-qualifying team were Phillip Wilson of Madison and Grant Engle of Shawnee who shot 74s. Ben Herman of Valley View also qualified to the state with a 75.
