WEST CHESTER — The Blanchester girls cross country team qualified for the upcoming Div. II Southwest Regional meet at Troy’s Memorial Stadium.

The Ladycats were runnersup in the Div. II B district meet at Voice of America Park this past Saturday. Blanchester finished with 90 points, trailing only Wyoming who had 28 points.

The Blanchester girls will run at 2:15 p.m. Saturday in the regional at Troy. The three teams in the district race advanced to the regional meet.

The Blanchester boys were seventh overall. Hunter Browning was 20th in the race, clocking a 17:54.85. The top eight individuals advanced to the regional meet.

For the BHS girls, Savannah Rhodes was the pacesetter, placing fourth overall in 20:28.06.

Mckenzie Hamm ran 20:47.51 and placed 11th while Olivia Gundler was 16th in 21:35.91.

Alexis Davis was 24th in 22:10.09 and Emma Gundler was 37th in 22:55.42. Elecia Patton was 39th in 23:04.9.
