Muskies reel in win over Quakers 3-1

NEW CONCORD — A third-set victory was little consolation as the Wilmington College volleyball team was defeated by Muskingum 10-25, 10-25, 28-26, 10-25 Tuesday night in Ohio Athletic Conference action at the Anne C. Steele Center on the MC campus.

The Quakers fall to 3-23 overall and 0-8 in league play. Muskingum is 15-12 overall and 3-5 in the OAC.

Wilmington struggled on the attack, finishing with 24 kills and 24 errors on 129 total attacks. Muskingum had 60 kills and just 17 errors.

Kennedy Harshaw had 11 kills and only two errors to go along with a solo block and three digs.

Morgan Householder had three kills and 15 digs. Lauren Fraysier had two kills, six set assists and a dig. Kara Short had an assist and two digs. Amber Rox contributed four kills, three assists and five digs. Sydney Smith had a kill and five digs.

Alyssa McKenzie chipped in with four assists and seven digs. Ileesha White had a kill, an assist and a solo block. Jessica Hadley had two kills and five assists. Becca Harting had an ace, two assists and eight digs. Hannah Kockentiet had two digs.

Wilmington will play at Heidelberg Saturday, facing the ’Berg at 1 p.m. and then Ohio Wesleyan at 3:30 p.m.
