MONROE — The Blanchester boys cross country team finished sixth Monday at the Alex Fultz Invitational hosted by Monroe High School.

Middletown won the meet and was followed by Monroe, Fenwick, Edgewood, Dixie and Blanchester.

Individually, Tyler Holland was the top BHS runner, clocking a 21:08.

“I thought the three freshman had good races,” BHS coach Tony Blevins said. “I know some of the upperclassmen were disappointed in their times. I thought we would have a few runners under 20 minutes. I look for dramatic improvements as their fitness level improves.”

Romaro Torres was 30th in 21:12, David Trivett was 45th in 22:17, Sean Holland was 51st in 22:39, Christian Woodyard was 56th in 22:49, Ashton Steward was 63rd in 23:47, Eric Patton was 73rd in 24:57, Samuel Reinhart was 97th in 27:38, Bill Rannells was 113th in 35:27 and Timmy Rannells finished in 35:59.
