HILLSBORO — The Wilmington High School swim teams gained the measure of a pair of Highland County teams Tuesday at the Highland County YMCA.
The girls had 140 points and easily outdistanced McClain 107 and Hillsboro 53. The boys meet was a bit tighter — WHS 107, McClain 92 and Hillsboro 80.
For the Lady Hurricane, Alison Dooley earned top honors with a pair of individual firsts (100 breast, 200 IM) and two relay firsts (200 free and 200 medley.
Meredith Robinson won the 200 free, Abby Greene hit the wall first in the 100 fly and Brianna Gilbert won the 100 free.
Other members of the 200 free and 200 medley relays were Morgan Bahr, Gilbert and Greene.
For the WHS boys, Harrison Law pocketed a couple of individual firsts (100 free and 100 back) as did Sam Osborn (50 free and 100 breast) and Ricky Dungan (200 IM and 100 fly).
The trio also won the 200 medley relay with PJ Godsey and the 400 free relay with Xavier Disney.
