BLANCHESTER — Batavia edged Blanchester 3-2 Thursday in Southern Buckeye Conference National Division tennis action on the BHS courts.

Heather O”Neill at third singles and the doubles pairing of Korie White and Sara Ujlakyová posted a 6-3, 6-0 win at second doubles.

Blanchester is now 3-6 on the year.

“We knew that Batavia was very strong at first and second singles,” said BHS coach Matt Sexton. “We knew the pressure would be on our third singles and doubles to pull it out. We gave it a good effort, but just fell short.”
