Lady Yellow Jackets blanks Fightin’ Quakers 18-0

The Wilmington College Fightin’ Quakers women’s lacrosse team was defeated by Baldwin Wallace Yellow Jackets Saturday 18-0.

Wilmington was held scoreless in the first half after only attempting one shot to Baldwin Wallace’s 28 shots. In the second half Baldwin Wallace continued its offensive attack by adding six goals on on 21 shots.

Defensively, junior Abby Englehart was able to cause two turnovers and pick up three ground balls.

Sophomore goalie Megan Wieloch allowed eighteen goals while totaling 19 saves. Wieloch also was able to cause two turnovers and pick up four ground balls.

Wilmington (1-8) returns to action 7 p.m. Wednesday against Ohio Northern at Williams Stadium.
