Franklin scores 7-3 win over Wilmington softball

FRANKLIN — The Wilmington High School softball team dropped a 7-3 non-league game Tuesday with Franklin.

The Lady Hurricane is now 2-3 on the year. Franklin improves to 6-1 with the win.

Kendra McKenna had two hits for WHS. Kacy Younker drove in a pair of runs in the second inning as the Lady Hurricane took a 2-0 lead.

Courtney Smart had a hit, scored a run and drove in a run.

Olivia Veidt started on the mound and took the loss for the Lady ’Cane.
