Cavaliers claim 4-1 win over Hurricane in SCOL tennis

CHILLICOTHE — The Wilmington High School tennis team was defeated by Chillicothe 4-1 Wednesday in a South Central Ohio League match at the OU-Chillicothe courts

Despite the loss, coach Steve Reed said he was “happy with the way we played.”

Wilmington is 5-2 overall and 4-1 in league play.

Reed commended the play of Jonathan Fender at first singles and the doubles pairing of Drew Moyer and Jack Romer, saying they “competed very well.”

Mason McIntosh picked up the lone win for the Hurricane at third singles.
