East Clinton JH boys, girls both 5th at Greenfield

GREENFIELD — The East Clinton Junior High School boys and girls track/field teams both finished fifth in a meet at McClain High School.

For the girls, Carah Anteck was second and Myah Anteck fifth in the 1,600-meter run. In the 400-meter dash, Myah Anteck and Holly Bernard both posted personal best times.

In the 800-meter run, Myah Anteck was fifth, Holly Bernard eighth and Mackenzie Shoemaker posted a PR. Both Jenna Stanley and Elizabeth Guard had PRs in the 200-meter dash. Shoemaker posted a PR and finished fifth in the long jump.

In the discus, Emma Malone was runnerup with a PR. Lauren Hadley was third in the discus while Izabelle Piatt posted a discus PR. Hadley was fourth in the shot put.

On the boys side, the 4×200-meter relay team of Trenton Garen, Landon Runyon, Branson Smith and Freddy Morgan hit the line first to win the event.

Devon Slone was third in the shot put and Cody Chaney finished fourth in the discus. Garen was fourth in the high jump and sixth in a personal best 13.5 seconds in the 100-meter dash.

Van Frye was sixth in the 1,600-meter run and posted a PR of 5:29. Smith was third in the 400-meter dash. Runyon was sixth in the 200-meter dash.
