NORWOOD — After a slow start, the Blanchester softball team lowered the boom on Norwood Friday 16-4 in a non-league game at NHS.
The Ladycats plated seven runs in the third and finished things off with five runs in the sixth.
“Took us a little while to get going offensively,” BHS coach Jamey Grogg said. “We only had one hit through two innings, but once we adjusted the hits came in bunches.”
Jay Dalton led the hit parade with two hits — a homerun and a double — with four runs batted in. Shayla Sicurella had three hits and knocked in three runs.
Katy Henry scattered six hits and was backed by solid defense as the Ladycats improve to 7-6 on the season.
