Centerville Black nets 5-0 win over Wilmington

WILMINGTON — The Wilmington High School tennis team was defeated by Centerville Black Tuesday 5-0 in a non-league match on the WHS courts.

Wilmington is 6-3 on the year while Centerville improves to 5-3.

“Played pretty well to start off but got flat as the match went on,” WHS head coach Steve Reed said. “The experience of the Centerville players showed as the matches went on.”

Jalen Douglas and Daniel Andrews managed to win a set at second doubles before falling 6-3, 2-6, 0-6.

In reserve tennis competition, Brady Evans picked up a win at second singles.
