Washington hangs 3-1 defeat on East Clinton

WASHINGTON COURT HOUSE — East Clinton had just three hits Friday in a 3-1 loss to Washington Senior in South Central Ohio League baseball action at WSHS.

East Clinton is 4-10 overall and 1-8 in the SCOL.

“Court House just beat us tonight,” EC coach Brian Carey said. “They played a solid baseball game. All around, it was a good game by both teams and they got the better end of the deal. I was proud of the way we played but we just couldn’t get the hit when we needed one.”

Ethan Cornwell, Brandon Norris and Colton Vadnais had the three EC hits. Norris drove in Cornwell with the only run of the game for the Astros in the second inning.

Cameron Conner pitched well for EC — two earned runs in six innings — but took the loss.
