ADAMS TOWNSHIP — Five was the number Monday night for the Clinton-Massie tennis team.

A 5-0 win over Blanchester gave the Lady Falcons their fifth straight win in a non-league match played on the CM courts.

“Anne Thompson found her rhythm at second singles,” CM Coach Lynn Deatherage said.

Deatherage said the first singles match win by Morghan Eades over Brooke Honaker included several “very long rallies.”

Kelly Deatherage is 10-3 on the year after her third singles win.

The CM doubles team of Claire Carruthers and Emma Bailey is 10-3 as well.

After a 2-6 start, Clinton-Massie’s team record is now 7-6.
