CHILLICOTHE — With just four hits, East Clinton was unable to get anything going Monday and lost to Chillicothe 11-1 in a South Central Ohio League baseball action at Hansel Field.
East Clinton is 4-11 overall and 1-9 in the SCOL.
“Chillicothe came ready to play and we didn’t,” EC coach Brian Carey said. “We looked uncomfortable at the plate and couldn’t get anything started. When we got on base, we had multiple mental errors that led to either getting picked off or running into a play. We know better than that and play better ball than that. We didn’t play our game and it showed.”
Austin Arellano had two hits for East Clinton. Zach Mitchell drove in Brandon Norris with the only East Clinton run.
