BATAVIA — Maddie Curless homered and drove in six runs as Blanchester defeated Batavia 15-2 in a non-league softball game Tuesday afternoon.
The Ladycats are 11-7 overall and 7-2 in the National Division.
Curless went 4-for-4 with a couple of runs scored. Jay Dalton had three hits and drove in three. Kassidy Abney also homered for BHS.
“It was nice to see the bats come alive again,” BHS coach Jamey Grogg said. “This is the second consecutive game where we had 13 hits as a team.”
Katy Henry pitched five solid innings to get the win on the mound. Blanchester did not commit an error on defense.
