WC women drop 17-3 lacrosse match to Capital

BEXLEY – Three different players scored as the Wilmington College women’s lacrosse team lost to Capital, 17-3, Wednesday in Ohio Athletic Conference action at Bernlohr Stadium.

Capital scored the first 10 goals of the game before freshman Clara Blaine tallied the first WC goal of the game. Wilmington trailed 13-1 at halftime.

Junior Abby Englehart and freshman Rachel Reinhart tallied goals in the second half. Junior Becca Petra recorded an assist.

Petra led the team with four caused turnovers, while Englehart, Blaine and junior Megan Wieloch had three ground balls.

Wilmington concludes the season with a home game against Muskingum 1 p.m. Saturday. It will mark senior day for Carmen Watson-Stuckey, Whitney Brofford, and Kayla Ogan.
