NEW CONCORD – Senior Reid Delaney established a new single-season points record as the Wilmington College men’s lacrosse team concluded the season with the 23-10 victory over Muskingum Sunday at McConagha Stadium.

The game was moved from Saturday due to the Ohio Athletic Conference track and field championships.

Delaney opened the scoring in the first period, and finished the game with six goals and six assists. He has 47 goals, 31 assists for 78 points on the season. The goals and assists are second on the single-season list, while the 78 points mark the most in a single-season.

For his career, Delaney’s 121 goals and 191 points are all-time highs for the WC lacrosse program, while his 70 assists are the second most in school history.

Junior Jhordan Lang finished with five goals with four assists in the win. Lang concludes the season with 44 goals, 23 assists and 67 points, all good for top five spots on the school’s single season list.

Junior Tanner Diment was dominant on faceoffs, winning 22 of his 30 attempts. He added a team-high 14 groundballs. On the season, he was 222 of 351 in faceoffs – establishing a single-season record 222 faceoff victories and a winning percentage of 63.2 percent.

Senior Chris Hein finished with three goals and three assists. Hein concluded his career with 57 goals, 35 assists and 92 points – placing his in the top five all-time in those categories.

Sophomore Caden Smolenski and junior Jake Ladendorf each had two goals for the Fightin’ Quakers.

Wilmington concluded the first season under Bryan Habick 5-11 overall, 2-6 in the OAC.
