FAYETTEVILLE — The Blanchester boys soccer team doubled-up Fayetteville 4-2 in a non-league victory on the FHS pitch.

The Wildcats trailed 1-0 early but Dade Coyle tied the match on a penalty kick. Logan Swinderman was fouled in the box prior to Coyle’s PK.

The Rockets again regained the lead, put the Wildcats behind for just the third time all season. The second was earlier in the match.

But Swinderman tied the match at 2-2 with Topher Farrow receiving an assist as the teams went to the lockerroom.

Coach Troy Ballinger said Blanchester came out with “more focus and determination” and recorded a pair of goals to close out the win.

Sam Schafer assisted on Farrow who scored the third goal and Nevan Coyle assisted on Swinderman’s goal to make it 4-2.

Dakota Penquite had 13 saves to keep Blanchester on top.
