ADAMS TOWNSHIP — For the second straight season, the Clinton-Massie softball team went undefeated against its South Central Ohio League schedule.
The perfect 14-0 SCOL season ended Monday with a 10-0 victory over East Clinton.
Clinton-Massie honored its seniors prior to the game. The seniors are Madilyn Newton, Jessica Asher, Taylor Neace and Tyler Neace.
“It was good to send them off with another perfect 14-0 SCOL season,” CM coach Anthony Lauer said.
This is the second straight season the Lady Falcons have been a perfect 14-0 in league play. Clinton-Massie, winners of 29 straight SCOL games, has won four straight SCOL championships and are 51-3 in league play during that time.
Clinton-Massie, ranked No. 6 in Division II in this week’s state coaches poll, is 23-1 on the year.
Taylor Florea and Claire Carruthers led the CM hit parade with three hits each.
Florea was dominant on the mound, allowing just three hits while striking out nine. She did not walk a batter.
The Lady Falcons will play at Blanchester Wednesday, at Williamsburg Thursday and at home Friday against Little Miami.
