Eagles soar in 5-1 win over Falcons

ADAMS TOWNSHIP — Milford pushed three runs across in the fifth and edged Clinton-Massie 5-1 Tuesday in non-league baseball action at Paul Schwamberger Field.

The Eagles are now 15-8 on the year. Clinton-Massie drops to 17-7.

“Milford is a pretty good baseball program,” said CM coach Brian Camp. “This helps us get ready for the tournament. They are well-coached, well-schooled. It’s a good game for us to play late in the season.”

Aric France went five innings and took the loss for the Falcons. Milford scored all its runs off France in the fifth.

“For me, it was Aric’s best outing of the year,” Camp said. “He was matching their pitcher pretty much pitch for pitch.”

The lone Massie run came when Noah Greathouse doubled home Luke Richardson in the sixth.

“Their pitcher was really good … 86, 87 miles per hour. He was really getting it up there,” Camp said.

Clinton-Massie will host Goshen 4:30 p.m Wednesday.
