The Blanchester eighth grade football team (3-0-1) remained unbeaten on the year with a 44-22 win Wednesday over Norwood.
The Blanchester seventh grade (3-1) also was victorious 54-0 over the Indians.
In the eighth grade game, James Peters ran for 282 yards and six touchdowns behind the dominating performance of the Wildcats offensive line of Orin Potts, Calob Manor, Gabe Napier, Austin Lewis, Thomas Dugger, Mason Rector, Kaleb Goodin and Hunter Bare, coach Brad Ballinger said.
Peters carried the ball 29 times and also had three post-touchdown conversions.
In all, Blanchester had more than 400 yards of total offense.
Tanner Creager had 49 yards rushing and 72 yards passing. Christian Stubbs had 60 yards receiving and caught a conversion pass from Creager.
Kadin Berwanger had 11 tackles and three pass breakups on defense, Ballinger said.
Stubbs also had 11 tackles and Jesse Wright was in on eight tackles. Briant St. John had four tackles and a fumble recovery.
In the seventh grade game, Blanchester led 30-0 at halftime. Brayden Sipple had 126 yards passing and two touchdowns while running for another score to lead the ’Cats offense.
Colt Conover rushed for two touchdowns while Blake Richard had 100 total yard, two touchdowns and two point-after conversions. Kyle Hopkins had 45 yards rushing and Gabe Peters had a rushing TD and two conversion runs. Trenton Czaika caught a touchdown pass and added a conversion. Brody Rice had a conversion run.
On defense, Gage Huston had seven tackles and two sacks while Brady Phillips had three sacks and forced two fumbles. Tre Mowry and Bryce Highlander both had interceptions.
