GREEN TOWNSHIP — Led by Alex Flick, Beavercreek defeated Wilmington and East Clinton Friday in a non-league boys golf match at Snow Hill Country Club.
Flick was the match medalist with a 75, which included a hole-in-one on No. 12 at SHCC.
Wilmington finished with a 341 team total while the Astros recorded a 367.
Jack Murphy paced the Hurricane with an 81. Hunter DeWeese shot an 82.
“We just had some small mistakes that cost us a few strokes today,” said WHS head coach Phil Gilmore. “ They were mistakes that shouldn’t happen on our home course, but that is a step in the right direction on our course management skills. We will need to play better on Wednesday to keep up in the SBAAC race.”
Cameron Smart shot an 88 and Zach Zeckser had a 90. Dylan Combs and Zach Delaney both played but did not score for WHS.
For East Clinton, Gage McConnahay led with an 89 while Brendon Walters came in with a 92. Jacob Olds and Shane Streber both had 93s. Logan Kelly and Brandon Michael played but did not score for ECHS.
