Lady ’Cane opens with 4-1 win over Lady Braves

OXFORD — The Wilmington High School girls tennis team opened its season Friday with a 4-1 win over Talawanda in a non-league match on the THS courts.

Several matches had lengthy sets, including a third singles win by Zane Bekheet 6-3, 1-6, 10-7.

The second doubles pairing of Kristina Walt and Sydney Johnston dropped their third set 9-11.
