The Blanchester seventh and eighth grade volleyball teams opened their seasons Tuesday with losses to Mount Orab.

The eighth grade dropped a 21-25, 25-12, 20-25 match to the Lady Broncos.

In the seventh grade match, the final outcome was 21-25, 16-25.

Hailey Muvihill and Makayla Lanham led the Ladycats with five service points and three aces each. Ainsley Whitaker had three serving points, while Summer Schutte contributed two and Rebekah Davenport and Emma Falgner had one each.

The Ladycats travel to Goshen Thursday to take on the Warriors.
