EC shrugs off slow start, hammers Hillsboro

After a slow start, the East Clinton volleyball team defeated Hillsboro 13-25, 25-17, 25-19, 25-22 Wednesday in a non-league match against their former South Central Ohio League rival.

“Despite a slow start, the girls pulled it together,” EC coach Sarah Sodini said. “Sierra Christian, Kaitlyn Talbott and Kayla Hall really stepped up.”

Christian had two kills and a dig. Talbott finished with four kills, two blocks and a dig. Hall had a kill and five blocks at the net.

Logan Peterman had a kill, 10 assists and four digs. Kenzie Campbell totaled three aces, five kills, three blocks and three digs. Kait Durbin had four kills, four blocks and four digs.

Myah Jones recorded a kill, six assists, a block and two digs. Paige Lilly chipped in with a kill, seven digs and seven kills. Lacey Peterman had an ace, two kills and three digs. Victoria Jamison had a block and Emma Malone had a dig.
