Coyle nets 4, Wildcats blast Cardinals 8-3

FELICITY — A second half offensive eruption led the Blanchester High School boys soccer team to an 8-3 win over Felicity-Franklin Thursday in the season opener for BHS.

Nevan Coyle was the offensive leader for the Wildcats, scoring four goals and recording two assists.

Topher Farrow and Hunter Miller had one goal each while Carter Stevens scored a pair. Farrow had five assists and Cameron Gibson was credited with one.

Blanchester led 3-2 at halftime despite dominating possession, coach Troy Ballinger said. In the second half, the Wildcats pressure on offense was too much for the Cardinals.

Brant Bandow led the BHS defensive effort. Jake Fischer had three saves in goal for the ’Cats.
