Benefit event to raise money for Girard, U.S. Archery team member

The benefit event will be held 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday at the Clinton County Farmers and Sportsman’s Club, 301 Batson Rd.

The benefit is for Fawn Girard who has qualified for the United States Archery team going to France Sept. 19-24 to compete in the World Archery 3-D Championship.

Girard, who lives in Martinsville, has been associated with CCFSA the past 10 years. She has served on the board of directors and spent countless hours working with the organizations youth groups.

There will be a Bowhunters Challenge during the day. Cost is $15 to shoot at 40 targets. Registration is 8 a.m. to 1 p.m.

The benefit is not just for archery shooters, everyone is welcome to attend.

R&L Carriers will have its Home Town trailer set up. There will be raffles and silent auctions going on as well as a lunch special. Raffle winners will be drawn between 12 and 1

Those attending can participate in a gear swap of hunting and shooting gear.
