CNE volleyball still unbeaten in SBAAC, tops Blanchester

OWENSVILLE – Clermont Northeastern remained unbeaten in Southern Buckeye Athletic & Academic Conference National Division play Tuesday with a win over Blanchester 24-26, 21-25, 25-23, 19-25.

“There were times when things weren’t going our way and they stuck it out and fought hard to the end,” BHS coach Jenna Weisflock said of her squad.

The coached noted the play of Asia Baldwin.

“She stayed on her toes and moved to the ball really well,” Weisflock said.

Baldwin had 13 digs, seven perfect passes, eight kills, two blocks and 16 points.

Morgan Oberle had a strong day at the net, the coach said, recording 12 blocks and six kills. She also had 10 digs, 10 perfect passes and 10 service points.

Also, Shelbie Rose had 12 assists, a kill, eight digs and 16 points. Cheyenne Brown had four kills, a block, two digs and 18 points. Casey Kingsland had eight assists, five digs and 12 points. Ally Davis had four kills, nine digs, six perfect passes and 12 points. Audrey Heitzman finished with an assist and two kills while Kassidy Abney had two digs and three perfect passes.
