Lady Astros win big of Lady G-Men

LEES CREEK – East Clinton made it two wins in a row Tuesday with a 25-17, 25-13, 25-12 victory over Georgetown in Southern Buckeye Athletic & Academic Conference National Division action.

Coach Sarah Sodini said it was a great team win and she was proud of the play of the entire team.

Paige Lilly had a solid match at the net and Kenzie Campbell served well, Sodini said. Sierra Christian played with a lot of hustle, the coach noted.

The victory puts the Lady Astros at 4-4 overall and 2-2 in the National Division. The Lady G-Men are now 1-9 overall and 0-4 in the league.

Statistically, Logan Peterman had 19 assists, five aces, two kills and a dig. Campbell finished with six aces, three kills and a block. Victoria Jamison had five kills and a block.

Myah Jones contributed four aces, nine assists and a block. Lilly slammed 14 kills at the net and served four aces. Kaitlin Durbin had an ace, four kills, a block and a dig.

Kayla Hall and Kaitlyn Talbott had one kill each. Christian had two kills and a block while Emma Malone had two aces and three digs on defense.
