BLANCHESTER – Nevan Coyle’s fast start propelled Blanchester to a 5-1 win over Williamsburg Tuesday in a Southern Buckeye Athletic & Academic Conference National Division match at Barbour Memorial Field.
Coyle scored three goals in the first eight minutes of the match for Blanchester.
The victory puts BHS at 4-3 overall and 3-2 in the National Division. WHS is 2-5-1 overall and 1-3-1 in the league.
Jacob Fischer, the Blanchester goalkeeper, took a penalty kick and recorded his first career goal, BHS coach Troy Ballinger said.
Colton Wilson, a BHS freshman, scored the final goal of the match.
Fischer finished with seven saves in goal. Assists for BHS went to Topher Farrow, Noah Armocida and Cameron Skidmore.
