East Clinton flogs Felicity in SBAAC volleyball battle

LEES CREEK – The East Clinton volleyball team shrugged off the Saturday blues and posted a 25-17, 25-14, 25-19 win over Felicity-Franklin in Southern Buckeye Athletic & Academic Conference National Division action at the FHS gym.

East Clinton is now 5-4 on the year, 3-2 in the National Division.

“It was a slow Saturday morning but the girls pulled it together and came away with the win,” EC coach Sarah Sodini said.

The Lady Astros coach said Kayla Hall played smart in the middle while Lacey Peterman had a solid game as well.

Logan Peterman finished with two kills, 20 assists and two digs. Kenzie Campbell had an ace, nine kills, three blocks and a dig. Myah Jones contributed two kills, eight assists and a dig.

Paige Lilly had two aces, 10 kills, an assist and four digs. Kait Durbin recorded seven kills, two blocks and four digs. Lacey Peterman had two kills and three assists.

Hall and Sierra Christian chipped in with four kills each. Kaitlyn Talbott had a block while Emma Malone posted three aces and four digs in the win.
