Coyle nets 5 as Blanchester blasts Fairfield 12-1

BLANCHESTER – With Nevan Coyle netting five goals, the Blanchester boys soccer team defeated Leesburg Fairfield 12-1 Monday in a non-league match at Barbour Memorial Field.

Blnachester, 5-4 on the year, scored four early goals and led 7-0 at halftime.

In all, 14 different Wildcat players had a shot on goal.

In addition to Coyle’s hat trick plus two, Blanchester goals were scored by Topher Farrow who had two; and one each by Noah Armocida, Brant Bandow, Nicholas Lansing, Cameron Gibson and Tanner Kellermann. For Lansing, it was his first career varsity goal.

Assists went to Farrow (two), Gibson (two) and Bandow (one).
