Massie JV volleyball remains unbeaten

ADAMS TOWNSHIP – The Clinton-Massie junior varsity volleyball team defeated Monroe 25-18, 25-13 Tuesday night in a non-league match at the Lebanon Road gym.

The Lady Falcons are 9-0 on the year, coach Aubrey Hoffman said. They also are unbeaten at 4-0 in the Southern Buckeye Athletic & Academic Conference American Division. The latest league win came Monday over Batavia 25-5, 25-15.

On Tuesday, Kennedy Thompson had five points, an ace, two kills, 13 assists, a block and a dig. Haley Roberts finished with 10 points, two aces, a kill, an assist and a block. Carly Moritz chipped in with three points and seven kills.

Abbey Faucett contributed 13 points, two aces, five kills, an assist, a block and five digs. Courtney Fisher recorded two points, a dig and an ace. Delaney Miller had “an awesome game,” Hoffman said, which included three points, two aces, six kills, two blocks and two digs.

“These girls are a blast to watch,” Hoffman said. “They have the heart and the drive to continue to improve. We talked and played well at the net. We struggled early with our passing but we made some adjustments. Abbey Faucett had a great night serving and playing the net. Carly Moritz and Delaney Miller both hit the ball very well.”
