WILMINGTON – The Wilmington High School tennis team defeated New Richmond Thursday 3-2 in a SBAAC American Division match.
The win puts Wilmington over the .500 mark at 8-7 on the year. The Lady Hurrricane stands 5-2 in the American Division.
WHS swept the doubles courts and picked up a 6-0, 7-5 win at first singles with Allie Kees.
“Emma (Schroeder), Brooklyn (Nielsen), Zane (Bekheet) and Kristina (Walt) all have winning streaks of at least eight matches; Zane has her’s up to 12,” WHS coach Doug Cooper said. “I’m very happy with how our team has continued to improve.”
