Massie JV volleyball wins close one to go 11-0

The Clinton-Massie reserve volleyball team had a close call but moved to 11-0 with a 25-21, 18-25, 28-26 win over Western Brown Thursday night.

“The girls fought hard for this win,” CM coach Aubrey Hoffman said. “They came together as a team and dug deep to pull this one off. They had a slow start to the night but they pulled it together when it meant the most.”

Kennedy Thompson had eight points, three aces, a kill, 26 assists and five digs. Haley Roberts had seven points and nine digs. Abbey Faucett contributed nine points, an ace, 12 kills, 14 digs and two blocks.

Carly Moritz posted two points, five kills, a block and seven digs. Courtney Fisher chipped in with six points, a kill and eight digs. Delaney Miller recorded two points, four kills and five digs. Abby George finished with two digs and a block.
