MT. ORAB – The Wilmington High School tennis team dropped an SBAAC American Division match Saturday to Western Brown 3-2.
“We struggled to keep the ball in play in the singles courts,” WHS coach Doug Cooper said. “We were very inconsistent.”
Brooklyn Nielsen and Emma Schroeder continued their strong season with an easy win at first doubles. Rachel Barker and Kristina Walt won their match at second doubles.
Cooper commended the play of Zane Bekheet at third singles. She rallied from a 2-5 second set deficit to make it 5-5 but lost the next two games and the match.
