Girls golf seasons end for WHS, CM, EC

The girls golf season for Wilmington, Clinton-Massie and East Clinton ended at the sectional tournaments in the area.

On Monday at the Div. I Cincinnati Sectional at Walden Pond Golf Course in Indian Springs, Wilmington wrapped up its season.

Heather Fryman led the Lady Hurricane with a 106 (50-56). Lindsey Murphy and Meredith Robinson also played for Wilmington. The Lady Hurricane did not post five individual scores, thereby not finishing in the team standings.

On Sept. 28 at the Div. II Cincinnati Sectional at the Hamilton Elks Golf Club, Clinton-Massie finished sixth in the team standings.

Angela Miller led the Lady Falcons with a 109 (54-55) while Gwen Broderick, the lone senior in the lineup, came in with 110 (54-56).

Also for Clinton-Massie, Taylor Kropp, Kelsey Smith and Emma Filipkowski played in the event.

On Sept. 28 at the Div. II Xenia Sectional at WGC Golf Course, East Clinton finished 13th in the team standings.

Hannah Stern had a 118 (64-54) for the Lady Astros. Also playing for EC were Gracie McCarren, Courtlynn Cubbage, Kaitlyn Boysel and Egypt Suiter.
