The Blanchester seventh grade volleball team closed its regular season with a three-set win over Clermont Northeastern, 12-25, 25-22, 25-21.

The young Ladycats have a 7-6 record.

Josie Wilson, Emma Falnger and Mia Torres set the tone of the match, coach Julie Mulvihill said, with their passing from the back row.

Sarah Pell led Blanchester with seven points, five of which were aces. Summer Schutte, Ainsley Whitaker and Makayla Lanham had six points each. Hailey Mulvihill and Bekah Davenport served three points each. Mulvihill had a kill and Falgner had two “clutch” service points, Mulvihill said.
