BHS girls, Hughes earn top local honors

XENIA — Clinton-Massie’s Katie Hughes earned top individual honors while the Blanchester girls team finished third Saturday at the Ambassador Classic girls cross country meet at Xenia Christian.

The Ladycats finished behind host Xenia Christian and Waynesville.

Savannah Rhodes was the top BHS runner, placing ninth in 22:51.9.

Hughes, the Clinton-Massie standout, was fourth overall in 21:52.6.

The top runner for East Clinton was Shelby Williams, who clocked a 29:45.3.
